Laem Thian Bungalows the place to getting away without getting stuck.

This little resort is hidden like a treasure in a private bay at the north-east of the island.

Seemingly difficult to reach it offers a free pick-up service for guests and a reasonable priced  shuttle service for extra rides back to civilization.

You will have a breathtaking view from every bungalow with their spacious verandahs over the east coast of Koh Tao and over to Koh Phangan, even Samui on a clear day.
In Laem Thian you can still find a few bamboo huts from the old times, but to cater for the modern travellers needs solid wooden bungalows have been established.
Electricity is available from 6 p.m. till 7 a.m.

The bay itself offers excellent snorkelling and in the back on can spent hours of trekking in the lush jungle. Being treated as a friend rather than a customer will make you wish to come back. This is the right place for nature lovers and people who care for their peace of mind.  
 

However should you get bored at all you can always join the lively owners on a night-trip to their chilled out sala bar "Ping Pong" in Sairee and mingle for a while with the party crowd.
