Bang Rak is on the north eastern coast of Koh Samui and the Samui Mermaid
Resort is just five minutes from Samui International Airport. It's a
15 minutes drive away from the nightlife of Chaweng, or in the other
direction, 15 minutes from quaint fishermen's village of Bophut.
Fortunately, due to local regulations,
beachside properties can be constructed no higher than the coconut tree
canopy, so Bang Rak has retained its " tropical Island" feel.
The beach is very quite clean, with soft
golden sand. Nearby piers have frequent ferries and speed boats to
Koh Pha Ngan and Koh Tao for diving, sightseeing or the monthly
Full Moon Party.
There are many restaurants within easy
walking distance of the resort offering all kinds of dishes, from Thai to
Turkish, and, French to Finnish ! There are also countless local bars if
you need to stop to take a rest during a leisurely stroll along the
